JPS provides efficient, reliable, and professional process services. Ensure your legal documents (including summonses, subpoenas, writs and other documents) are delivered to all parties in full accordance with California and local law.
JPS provides:
- A minimum of three attempts, conducted at reasonable times (times were subjects would be expected to be at home). An additional courtesy attempt may be given on a case by case scenario.
- Proof of Service
- Make the first attempt within 3 days of requesting service.
- Option for rush delivery (demanded within less than 48 hours) (additional fees apply)
- Notification of delivery via personal call or email
- Signed and dated affidavit Notarized upon request (notary fees reimbursed by client)
- Regular status updates via email and phone.
- Declaration of due diligence (as needed)
- Convenient electronic payment via electronic check, debit or credit card.
Although JPS specializes in service process, we also offer additional legal assistance as outlined below.
Courthouse courier services
Are you tied up and need to be at two places at the same time? JPS can take care of your time-consuming legal runs to the courthouse while you take care of top priorities.
Our courthouse courier services include but are not limited to:
- Document filing
- Document retrievals
- Obtaining conform copies
- Making in-person requests for cases
- Picking up / delivering packages to a DA or public defender’s office
- Delivering documents to detention facilities.
- Court document copying

Same-day courthouse courier services
We offer document pick up or delivery from your office to the courthouse and back again to your office within the same day! This allows you to avoid mail delays due to weekends or holidays, especially when you need to have that “Filed on…” stamp in your hands ASAP. Additional fees will apply. We recommend you try and schedule pickup and deliver at least 2 days in advance.
Mail only courthouse courier services
For legal runs to/from the courthouse that do not require pick up or delivery to/from your office.
Documents can be mailed, faxed or emailed to our office. Once received, we will notify you by email and carry out any additional instructions.
In some cases, the process of service becomes more difficult due to an evasive party. Our servers may find it necessary to stakeout individuals they are attempting to serve. Our servers and private investigators will complete a stakeout at any hour–mornings, evenings, or weekends–to capitalize on the element of surprise. Additional fees (+$65) will apply.

We know things do not go always go as planned. We can accommodate rush services for an added fee. However, keep in mind, it is on a first come first serve basis, but we will not commit if we cannot meet your timelines.
Please note that serving restraining orders are considered a rush service.
